Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Nurse to join our team at Podar Education Network in Khopoli Kalyan. This is a fulltime position requiring a minimum of 1year experience in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and support to students with a focus on child health assessments safety and care. This vital role within our institution aims to ensure the wellbeing and health of our students.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelors degree in nursing (BSc) or diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is required.
- Minimum of 1year experience in nursing preferably in a pediatric or educational setting.
- Proven skills in child assessment and the ability to quickly identify health issues.
- Proficiency in providing emergency medical care and first aid effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with children parents and staff in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Knowledge of current pediatric healthcare practices and an understanding of childrens psychological needs.
- Ability to maintain medical records accurately while ensuring confidentiality.
- Must be dedicated empathetic and possess a nurturing attitude towards children.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for students to monitor their wellbeing.
- Administer first aid and emergency care when necessary to provide timely relief.
- Maintain accurate health records for all students and ensure compliance with healthcare policies.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop health plans and manage chronic health conditions.
- Provide health education to students on topics like personal hygiene nutrition and wellness practices.
- Act as a liaison between the school parents and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
- Ensure a safe clean and sanitary environment for the students and staff at all times.
- Assist in developing healthrelated programs and workshops to promote health awareness within the school community.
