Job Description
Position Summary:
Kendal at Lexington is seeking a dedicated and versatile Grounds & Facilities Support Technician to join our Facilities team. This position involves performing a wide range of landscaping groundskeeping and facilities support duties across our scenic campus. Ideal candidates are flexible team players who can work across trades and assist in various maintenance tasks to help keep our community safe beautiful and functional.
Job Type: Temporary FullTime
Pay: $20.40/Hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain campus grounds through mowing pruning weeding trimming mulching fertilizing and other landscaping duties.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions to support Kendal at Lexingtons campus beautification and sustainability initiatives.
Assist with storm response and inclement weather recovery including afterhours and emergency support as needed.
Perform general maintenance support such as painting trash removal recycling equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Ensure safety and proper use of power tools mowers tractors chainsaws and similar equipment.
Work respectfully and professionally within a senior living environment maintaining resident confidentiality and demonstrating a customer service mindset.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Virginia drivers license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Ability to safely use and maintain landscaping tools and power equipment.
Must be able to read and follow instructions.
Must be capable of safely wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
Must enjoy working around older adults and be comfortable with the unique needs of a retirement community setting.
