About the Role:This role is responsible for the export documentation process including packing lists and invoices ensuring compliance with international regulations. The role involves processing freight quotes coordinating shipping schedules with internal teams and external vendors and managing vendor dock operations to prevent delays. Additionally the coordinator resolves logistics issues tracks key performance metrics and ensures all documentation meets regulatory and company standards. This position is essential for maintaining efficient and compliant logistics operations..
Responsibilities:
- Export Documentation: Prepare and review export documents including packing lists and commercial invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Freight Quoting: Review and process freight quotes for North American sales collaborating with carriers and vendors to secure the best shipping options.
- Shipping & Fulfillment Support: Work closely with the Order Fulfillment team and Austinbased contract manufacturers shipping team to coordinate weekly and daily shipping schedules.
- Vendor Dock Management: Monitor shipping schedules with our Austinbased contract manufacturer proactively addressing any delays or issues to keep the dock running efficiently. Communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve logistics challenges working with internal teams freight providers and manufacturing partners to ensure timely deliveries.
- Compliance & Reporting: Track logistics KPIs OTIF Freight Margins and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Associates in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business or related field (preferred).
- 4 years of experience in logistics export coordination or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with North American and international shipping practices.
- Familiarity with international shipping and export documentation requirements.
- Experience in freight quoting shipping coordination and vendor management.
- Ability to accurately prepare and review export documents and track logistics data.
- Strong skills in identifying and resolving logistics issues ensuring timely delivery.
- Effective communication with internal teams vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using logistics or ERP systems for tracking and managing shipments and documentation.
- Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards for international trade.
- Ability to work crossfunctionally with different teams including Order Fulfillment and contract manufacturers.
- Ability to track and analyze logistics performance metrics (KPIs) including OTIF and freight margins.
