Job Description
The iconicWashington Hilton is looking for their next fulltime Cook II to join their culinary team! Find this historic 1107room hotel within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The White House and National Mall are less than two miles away. We feature a seasonal outdoor pool deck complete with fire pits and a kids pool!
The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least 2 years of experience on a hot line in a highvolume kitchen either in a hotel or standalone restaurant. It would be considered an asset for this position to have previous training/certifications related to food safety!
Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts without restrictions weekend/holiday availability required
Pay Range:$22.67 30.23 per hour

What will I be doing
As a Cook II you would be responsible for preparing cold food items in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepare hot food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Manage guest orders in a friendly timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and food products
- Stock and maintain designated food stations(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal state local and company regulations
