Job Description
Job Duties: Responsible for computer systems PLCs control circuits communication systems I/O field devices VFD drives/motors measurement systems and other control equipment; Coordinate company contractor and vendor activities to install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code manuals schematic diagrams and other specifications; Work directly with all maintenance and operations personnel in a fastpaced environment to help develop a safety focused productive roll mill team support electrical teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability; and Manage the design development implementation and procurement of hardware and/or software for level 1 improvement projects and provide support for other disciplines projects.
Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering or other closely related field of study plus 5 years of experience in job offered or related automation experience in the metals industry. In lieu of a Bachelors degree employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the job offered or related automation experience in the metals industry. Must have 5 years of experience in the following skills: Plant design construction and/or operation for metallurgical plants using Eplan; PLC programing data acquisition/analysis and HMI programming; Server and network device configuration and maintenance; Managing safety process documentation installation and quality of proprietary software and products; and Diagnosing and correcting issues with systems components and controllers.
