Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Material Handler for our client in South Plainfield NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 7:30AM 4PM
- Monday Friday
Pay Rate:
- $17.50 / hour
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Warehouse Material Handler to support inventory movement picking and receiving operations. This role requires forklift certification the ability to lift heavy materials and strong attention to detail while using scan guns and computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate standup forklifts walkie riders and sitdown forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Pick receive and transport materials throughout the warehouse using scan guns.
- Load unload and stage products for storage and shipping.
- Accurately track inventory and update records in warehouse management systems.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Work independently while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and safety.
Job Requirements:
- Certified to operate standup forklifts walkie riders andsitdown forklifts
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. minimum
- Strong math and basic computer skills
- Experience with scan guns picking and receiving
- Detailoriented and able to work independently
- Clear communication skills
- English preferred (bilingual a plus) Must speak English
