The Role
Mission Manager is Palantirs single pane of glass for enabling US Government customers and vendors to run software securely and compliantly in the most sensitive environments but without the overhead whether connected disconnected cloud or edge. Built on the strength of Palantirs Apollo platform it provides the critical infrastructure needed to rapidly onboard and deploy applications into a secure Kubernetesbased ecosystem freeing our customers to focus on building and powering missioncritical systems.
The Mission Manager offering is still in its earliest days and by joining us now youll define the strategy for how we develop and scale itwitnessing firsthand the impact of your work on critical missions and the new capabilities you unlock. Youll drive this by building elegant robust user interfaces and APIs that bridge the gap between a raw Kubernetes cluster and a fully featured infrastructureagnostic runtime that can meet the operational demands of hundreds of specialized microservices.
As a fullstack engineer youll operate at the intersection of product design and engineering to deliver industryleading UI/UX for our nextgeneration infrastructure management platform. Youll undertake this challenge alongside an energized team with a wide array of backgrounds and skillsets all united by an ambitious vision for whats possible.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with forward deployed platform and customer engineers to understand user workflows product gaps and identify both short and longterm product capabilities
- Collaborate with Product Designers and customers to develop the concepts features workflows and design of our platform
- Champion a longterm tech roadmap to build highquality app interactions polished & reusable UX reduce operational burden ensure scalability reduce risk and strive for stepchanges whenever possible
- Take ownership of the endtoend user experience across the stack including debugging core backend systems and driving API improvements with a focus on both quality and performance
- Work closely with your team and stakeholders to enable sustainable and timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs
- Spend 70% of your time on Frontend work and 30% of your time on Backend work (depending on your project & skillset)

What We Require
- 2 years of professional software development experience
- 1 years of experience in product design UX optimization feature scoping and system architecture (design patterns reusability reliability and scaling) of new and existing applications/systems
- Proficiency with web technology languages such as React JavaScript TypeScript or equivalent and backend languages or frameworks such as Java Golang or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $135000 $200000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units signon bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individuals relevant qualifications work experience skills and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential signon bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any longterm incentives.
