Job Description

Were seeking a talentedJava Developer atNS2 Mission to help drive cuttingedge fullstack software solutions in the fastpaced tech hubs of Chantilly and Herndon. In this handson role youll play a key part in designing developing deploying and optimizing enterprisegrade applications in a cloudnative environment. From building scalable microservices to crafting intuitive user interfaces youll work across the entire software stackmaking a direct impact through every phase of the cloudbased development lifecycle. Ideal candidates are experienced fullstack developers who thrive in agile environments and are passionate about delivering secure scalable and highperformance software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to decompose functional requirements into user stories and actionable development tasks.
- Design and implement fullstack software components including data models business logic APIs and user interfaces.
- Build scalable and secure APIs and integrations with other systems and databases.
- Develop and containerize Java and Pythonbased microservices for deployment in an AWS cloud environment.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools to automate cloud orchestration and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize AWS best practices to optimize performance scalability and costefficiency.
- Work with modern frontend frameworks to build intuitive data visualizations and interactive user experiences.
- Develop custom data processing applications using opensource Python libraries and data tools.
- Build and maintain unit and integration test frameworks and integrate automated testing and security scanning tools into CI/CD workflows.
- Participate in agile development processes contributing to sprint planning peer code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency in software development across the full stack: data layer application logic and user interface.
- Strong programming skills in Java with experience in JavaScript TypeScript Python and React.
- Solid understanding of software development frameworks databases (SQL XML) and API design.
- Experience developing and deploying applications in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or similar.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate software with cloudnative architectures and data systems.
- Experience in building secure testable and maintainable software.
