Location of Role:Southsea Infant School
Southsea Infants is a 2 form entry infant school with an inclusion centre (Starfish class) for up to 8 children with social communication and interaction needs. Children in Starfish class follow a bespoke adapted curriculum enabling them to meet and often exceed the goals in their Education Health and Care Plans.
We are seeking a teacher with experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs to join the Starfish team as 0.4 class teacher. The successful candidate will:
- be a motivated energetic and caring practitioner who is committed to improving outcomes and opportunities for all children.
- demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with families children the staff team and other professionals.
- take a flexible approach to adapting the curriculum in order to engage children and support their progress.
