The AOCs Center for Court Research is seeking a Senior Research Associate to produce reporting used by courts and the AOCs Family and Youth Justice Programs section to monitor and improve their responses to children involved in the child welfare system. The person in this position will extract data from production systems prepare it to support reporting by creating analytical data files on court cases pertaining to children involved in the child welfare system and load data into analytical and reporting platforms such as SAS Tableau and Power BI. The reporting supports effectiveness fair treatment transparency and accountability within the courts.
The Senior Research Associate will work collaboratively with teams within FYJP and WSCCR with courts and with other child welfare system partners to maintain the relevance of the Dependency Reporting System and to deliver information in ways that are accessible. This position will work closely with researchers to operationalize the data to answer program management and research questions.
While reporting to the Court Research Center Manager the Senior Research Associate interacts with executive leadership agency management the Office of Court Innovations Family and Youth Justice Programs and external stakeholders including judges and court professionals. With Court Research you will be joining a team of skilled researchers and policy analysts who work on topics that are incredibly relevant to the issues of concern seen in the court system today.
