Job Description
- Review and interpret design specs drawings models documentation and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards military specs and product requirements.
- Serve as the 1st Shift Engineering Point of Contact for our Artillery Vehicle Program supporting vehicle production.
- Collaborate with production support to generate Problem Reports for engineering issues and work with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop solutions.
- Manage the Variance control process including securing internal and customer approvals for deviations from the Technical Data Package (TDP).
- Develop timely solutionsstandard and nonstandard repairs Variances and configuration notesfor both simple and complex production issues.
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance collaboration between Design and Production including TDP configuration management and design change workflows.
- Recommend design improvements at the system subsystem or component level to the design engineering team.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety objectives policies and regulations.
- Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures of a relevant technical field of specialization.
- Experienced using 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer ProductView).
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities to achieve a deliverable deadline.
- Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines.
- Ability to create/maintain large Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to resolve basic technical design and development problems.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems.
- Demonstrated selfstarter who requires minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience with Electrical components electrical Wiring and integrated systems is a plus
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
