Job Title: Specification Writer
Division/Company/Entity: ASSA ABLOY India Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Chennai

Reports to: Specifications Team Leader

Position Summary
The position is responsible for writing technical specifications in compliance with project requirements acceptable standards & codes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- This position will provide door and hardware specification writing services to the architectural community with the objective of increasing the market awareness of related ASSA ABLOY products.
- Preparation of Opening specifications including: Door Hardware Mechanical & Electromechanical Glass Automatics sensor doors Acoustic partitions and other related opening specification.
- Act as a professional and knowledgeable consulting resource to the architectural community concerning all types of opening related solutions and product recommendations.
- Remain updated with the new product developments of the company.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the companys product to competitors products.
- The Individual will be responsible for developing and applying technical product knowledge.
- Ability to work in the professional environment with architectural firms to gain product approval and solicit specification writing opportunities.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit will be preferred
- Proficiency with computer software applications including major Microsoft Office Suite programs specifically Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated selfstarter with a high aptitude for acquiring new skills and principles.
Education Qualification & Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical/Electronics/Civil)
- 1 3 Years relevant experience

- Should be willing to Travel if required
