The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is looking for a dynamic individual to oversee and enhance internal enterprise financial systems. The Internal Systems Support Manager plays a pivotal role in managing a talented team driving system improvements and ensuring compliance with fiscal and reporting standards.
The current vacancy is in the Accounting and Budget Development Division.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
Terminology methods practices and techniques of design administration research testing and assessment of enterprise financial systems
Principles and practices of enterprise financial systems and data security
Cost analysis and work simplification
Applicable federal state and local laws
Public agency accounting principles and practices
Principles and practices of organizational personnel and project management
Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
Appropriate methods of training group facilitation and instructional techniques
Fundamental concepts of employment laws codes and regulations including EEO FLSA FMLA and Cal/OSHA; principles of progressive discipline; and applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreements

Required Education and ExperienceEducation:A bachelors degree in management information systems (MIS) accounting business administration finance computer science or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accreditation association as recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience:Five years of experience conducting analysis coordinating feature implementation and performing system testing within an automated finance budgeting or accounting system including two years of supervisory experience.
Equivalency Provision:Five years of experience in the job classification of Enterprise Financial System Consultant with the Los Angeles County Office of Education may substitute for the required experience.
Additional Requirements:A valid California drivers license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID19.
