An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Senior Merchandise Planner to join our Marcs team in our beautiful Support Office in Alexandria.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
To manage all aspects of product planning and supporting the merchandising strategy within the business. To manage the inventory position maximizing on opportunities which help deliver on key sales targets and other financial KPIs.
- Sole planner for the Marcs brand managing all categories across Mens and Womens.
- WSSI management with a focus on GM stock position and MD spend.
- OTB management for season and category level to ensure spend is inline with plan.
- Owning the budget and quarterly Forecasts inline with Business strategy across all channels.
- Presenting relevant information and analyzing brand performance to Managing Director and executive team.
- Focused option plans for design team to follow inline with OTB.
- Ranging products Monthly with the assistance of the product manager based on past performance and new direction to ensure Marcs brand remains strong.
- Owning the buy presenting spend and products in sign offs inline with OTB and growth plan.
- Monthly swot analysis of the business highlighting performance Bestsellers and lessons learnt.
- Weekly trade reporting presenting results providing insight and suggestions to improve brand performance.
- Continual assessment of opportunities and risks that will have an impact on sales.
- Owning the promotional calendar to drive sales and GM.
- Management of all markdowns reviewing MD send with focus on GM and stock clearance.
- Management of clearance strategies for underperforming styles & product categories.
- Management of line cards on all core styles by colour.
- Management of aged stock strategy through promotions to ensure achieve closing stock targets.
- Overseeing stock management of allocations consolidations & replenishment to all stores.
- Reviewing Allocation plan and stock consoles with Junior Planner to ensure inline with aged stock strategy.
- Reviewing store grading seasonally to reflect current store and business needs supporting both financial and stock targets.
- Review size analysis seasonally ensuring it meets to demands of the customer.
- Regular deep dives on categories stores best/worst sellers to provide insight and support business decisions.
- Creating ad hoc reports as required by the business.
- Regular store visits to seek feedback on product and planning.
Leadership
You will join a friendly established planning team and become the go to person for Marcs knowing the business inside out.
- Supporting and mentoring a Junior Planner and an allocator in their roles.
- Lead coach and develop your team in their current role and toward their career goals.
- Be a strong communicator collaborating with all departments in the business.

The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years as a planner in a retail environment.
- Confidence in communicating with senior management in regard to performance and strategy.
- Confident in managing WSSI forecasting and OTB planning.
- Proven record maximizing sales and GM whilst keeping to stock targets.
- Must enjoy working in a small team and working collaboratively with other departments.
- Advanced excel skills are essential.
- Experience with AP21 and TRS or other Merchandising systems is a plus
