Senior Electrical Engineer - Water Industry

Were looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Water Solutions team as we help deliver some of the UKs most ambitious and longterm water infrastructure programmes. With roles available across several key locations youll have the opportunity to support multibillionpound capital delivery frameworks contributing to highimpact water and wastewater projects spanning infrastructure and noninfrastructure across AMP8 and AMP9.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer youll lead on the design and delivery of projects ranging from small rural upgrades to complex multimillionpound schemes. Youll work as part of multidisciplinary teams collaborating with internal and external partners including Tier 1 contractors and key water utility clients. • South West Water Framework for Engineering Consultancy Services
  Lot 3 MultiDiscipline Engineering Design
• Wessex Water Capital Delivery Partner Framework Agreement
  Lot 2 Design Consultants

Severn Trent Water (14.9bn AMP8 Delivery Plan):

• Lot 1 Major Projects Framework Largescale water and wastewater projects
• Severn Trent D&B Projects Supporting Tier 1 contractors on major noninfrastructure wastewater schemes

Southern Water (3.7bn Capital Delivery Programme):

• Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Frameworks:
  • Lot 1 Noninfrastructure water projects
  • Lot 2 Noninfrastructure wastewater projects
• Low Complexity Delivery Route Lot 2 (Wastewater Infrastructure)
• SDP Lot 3 Infrastructure Framework Delivering sustainable wastewater infrastructure in partnership with Tier 1 contractors

Working flexibly youll visit client sites and collaborate with teams across multiyear frameworks. As part of our thriving business youll take on rewarding multidisciplinary projects from inception to delivery creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities.

Heres what youll do:

• Electrical and ICA Design: Undertake the design and review of electrical and ICA l elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/ treatment projects such as chemical dosing pumping stations and sludge treatment units from conception to handover 
• Quality: Produce and review client deliverables including calculations drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures 
• Project Management: Assist in the preparation and management of bids using internal systems and operations 
• Mentor: Delegate tasks direct and oversee the work of others and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff

Qualifications :

Ready to push the limits of whats possible

Heres what were looking for:

• Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multidisciplinary knowledge would be preferrable but not essential as we will also consider candidates outside the industry.
• Able to get into the detail of producing design deliverables and also coordinating and checking deliverables produced by others.
• Experience of managing projects delegating tasks and technical mentoring.   
• BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
• Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
