Job Description
The Associate Project Manager will be crucial in managing and coordinating projects related to developing new products working closely with crossfunctional teams collaborating with product management and overseeing smaller projects as needed.
The ideal candidate for an Associate Project Manager would be able to do the following:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining key milestones timelines and resource requirements.
- Coordinate crossfunctional teams including collaboration with product management and engineers to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks including those related to product management and engineering and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address challenges that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
- Product Development Support:
- Collaborate closely with product management teams to understand market requirements customer needs and technical specifications.
- Ensure that project deliverables align with product specifications and quality standards.
- Engineering Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Communication:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for projectrelated inquiries.
- Regularly communicate project status updates and issues to stakeholders including product management engineers and senior management.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation.
- Prepare regular progress reports and postproject evaluations incorporating product management and engineering team feedback.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes in collaboration with product management and engineering to ensure the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Qualifications :
For a candidate to be successful as an Associate Project Manager they must have:
- Bachelors degree in business project management engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management preferably in a new product development context.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills committed to a positive and empowering team culture.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of product development processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with the regulatory requirements associated with new product development.
- Experience working in crossfunctional teams particularly with product management and engineering.
