Job Description

A wellrespected Outstanding School in Suffolk is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science Teacher to join its dynamic teaching team from September 2025. The school prides itself on its commitment to academic excellence student welfare and providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 with the option to specialise in Biology Chemistry or Physics at KS5. The school has an excellent track record of student success and offers a highly resourced Science department providing teachers with all the tools they need to inspire and engage students.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Science Teacher looking to progress in their career or an ECT seeking a supportive school in which to develop their teaching skills. The school has a fantastic mentoring program for new teachers and a wellestablished training program for continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver highquality Science lessons to students at KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a specialist Science subject (Biology Chemistry or Physics) to KS5
  • Engage students with creative and innovative teaching techniques
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in school activities including open evenings parents evenings and extracurricular Sciencerelated clubs

Requirements

  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Ability to teach Science at KS3 and KS4 with a specialism in Biology Chemistry or Physics to KS5

  • The legal right to work in the UK
