Job Description

A wellrespected school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join their supportive school Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Religious Education Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with an understanding of different faiths beliefs and ethical perspectives. If you are a committed Religious Education educator looking to join a collaborative team we encourage your application. Location: RichmondRole: Religious Education Teacher (FullTime Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 34.
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for a variety of religious and philosophical beliefs within Religious Education.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Religious Education curriculum within the Humanities department.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Religious Education.
  • Potentially contribute to extracurricular Religious Education clubs or interfaith initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject of Religious Education.
  • Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate thoughtful discussions in Religious Education.
  • A commitment to fostering critical thinking and an understanding of diverse beliefs through Religious Education.
