Server Hawthorn Restaurant & Bar (Parttime)

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• To welcome our guests into the restaurant with a pleasant greeting ensuring their experience exceeds their expectations through attentive personal service.
• To follow all Restaurant and hotel policies procedures and service standards
• The ability to learn and execute all table side food preparation (e.g. saucing carving and finishing).
• Must maintain detailed knowledge of all food and beverage menus food and beverage pairings current promotions and specials and awareness of what vendors provide our food and beverage products to showcase out localfirst approach to our guests.
• Responsible for ensuring food and beverages ordered by the guest are recorded communicated and served professionally and in a timely manner for assigned tables/guests.
• Creating heartfelt moments for our guests and ensure no guests leave unhappy through proactive quality checks and addressing any guest feedback immediately.
• Must maintain the cleanliness and readiness of assigned section(s) in the restaurant at all times.
• Complete assigned side duties/tasks on a daily basis to ensure all team members are setup for success.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that all Health & Safety standards are met procedures followed and has the knowledge and tools to work safely.
• Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures are followed at all times

Qualifications :

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience in an upscale lounge or restaurant environment is required
• Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Must be available to work a variety of days/shifts according to business needs and seniority level.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails wine and spirits; WSET or similar certifications considered a strong asset
• Must possess excellent English language skills with the ability to speak read and understand at a professional level
• Selfdirected and selfmotivated
• Energetic enthusiastic personable positive presentable and professional
• Previous bartending experience is an asset
