Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities forging strategic partnerships and expanding the hospital s client base. This role involves market analysis proposal development and relationship management with corporate clients HMOs and government agencies. The BDM will work closely with the executive team to achieve revenue targets and ensure the hospital s longterm sustainability and competitiveness.
Main Duties
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase hospital revenue.
Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with hospital goals.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate organizations HMOs and government agencies.
Prepare and present business proposals tenders and partnership agreements.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with clients and partners.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business decisions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for business growth.
Organize and attend business meetings conferences and networking events.
Monitor industry trends and recommend service expansion or diversification.
Oversee the onboarding process for new corporate clients and partners.
Develop pricing strategies and packages for corporate and institutional clients.
Manage client accounts and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Prepare regular business development reports for management review.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with new business ventures.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and contractual obligations.
Mentor junior staff in business development best practices.
Participate in hospital strategic planning and budgeting processes.
Represent the hospital in external forums and professional associations.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development preferably in healthcare.
Skills: Strong negotiation analytical and relationship management skills; proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
