About the Role:
The Virginia Information Technology Agency is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the development of a new inhouse software application SERFIS for the Division of Securities and Retail Franchising (SCC). This new system will replace the division s legacy platform with a comprehensive work management solution that supports case processing workflow automation and data integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical teams to gather and document functional and technical requirements.
- Conduct user interviews workshops and workflow analysis to understand business processes and identify system needs.
- Translate business requirements into clear concise and testable functional specifications and user stories.
- Create process flow diagrams business use cases and user interaction models using tools like Visio.
- Collaborate with software developers and QA analysts throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure developed functionality meets stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and maintain documentation including requirement traceability matrices and change control records.
- Provide input and support in the planning and of change management activities.

- Knowledge of case management systems or regulatory platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile or Hybrid Agile/Waterfall development methodologies.
- Understanding of data flow modeling and database interactions.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Computer Science or a related field.
