Role Overview
As Manager of Business Development you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through prospecting nurturing and converting qualified leads into meetings then actively collaborating in the proposal development process to secure 912 monthly retainer engagements. This role remains involved throughout the entire sales cycle from initial outreach to signed contract with direct accountability for meeting quarterly revenue targets of $55000 in new retainer business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and secure qualified meetings with decisionmakers at potential B2B clients across our target sectors
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to build a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Actively participate in client meetings proposal development and scope of work creation
- Drive the sales process from initial contact through to closed business
- Maintain disciplined use of HubSpot CRM ensuring accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting
- Provide weekly reports on key performance metrics including outreach activity meetings secured and pipeline status
- Collaborate closely with the head of Marketing and Demand Generation on targeted campaigns and collateral development
- Build deep knowledge of our service offerings and client success stories to effectively communicate our value proposition
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets in new retainer business
Key Performance Indicators:
- Number of qualified meetings secured per month
- Conversion rate from meeting to proposal
- Conversion rate from proposal to closed business
- Total new revenue secured per quarter
- Pipeline coverage ratio (minimum 3x quarterly target)

Qualifications:
- Proven track record of revenue generation in a business development or sales role
- Experience with B2B sales cycles particularly in professional services
- Demonstrated ability to secure meetings with senior decisionmakers
- Experience developing proposals and scopes of work for professional services
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM or similar sales technology
- Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Selfmotivated with a genuine fire in the belly to exceed goals
- Experience with or aptitude for quickly understanding technology sectors including fintech insuretech edtech SaaS supply chain agritech and first responder tech
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

This is a fulltime salaried position which offers a quarterly bonus tied to new revenue production.
