Job Title:AR Specialist
Company Introduction:G&C Food Distributors is a redistributor of refrigerated frozen and dry food. We store and deliver more than 4000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 28 states internationally.
In recent years G&C Foods has grown to be one of the most respected redistributors in the United States. We are rapidly expanding all areas of our organization.
Location: Syracuse NY
Pay:$24.00$27.00
Schedule: MondayFriday 8a5p
Job Summary:
The AR Specialist supports the finance department through a variety of administrative accountingbased activities. This individual must be dependable have excellent communication skills must be able to work independently as well as in a team. The work environment is fastpaced and progressive.
Essential Functions:
- Apply payments to customer accounts
- Review & follow up on outstanding accounts receivables
- Send invoices weekly to customers
- Prepare and send bank deposits
- Resolve deductions and vendor billbacks
- Balance accounts daily
- Interact with personnel from other departments (sales transportation warehouse purchasing)
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 2 years of office accounting experience preferred
- Detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills both over the phone as well as in person
- Conflict resolution experience preferred
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Enterprise software a plus
