Job Description

Washington Central Unified Union School District is seeking an Elementary Educator to teach at Calais Elementary school beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will have experience or knowledge in the following areas:Knowledge of elementary school research based best practicesKnowledge of the Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science StandardsKnowledge and experience of integrating Vermont ProficienciesKnowledge of proficiency based reportingKnowledge of trauma informed practicesKnowledge of PBIS frameworkWillingness to specialize in subject areasStrong collaboration and teamwork ethicEvidence of integrating technology into the learning environment Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning CommunityKnowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Evidence of strong connection with students and familiesLicensed or eligible for Vermont Educators LicenseStrong communication skills as evidenced through a quality applicationOngoing educational training and the belief that educators ensure learning for every child
