How Will You Make an Impact
As an Automation Design Engineer you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability efficiency and continuous improvement of our existing automation lines. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high manufacturing performance minimizing downtime and supporting the longterm sustainability of our automation systems. By analyzing recurring issues driving corrective actions and implementing innovative design solutions you will help our operations run at peak performance.
What Will You Do
Sustain and improve current automation lines to ensure consistent performance and minimal downtime.
Analyze equipment issues and implement longterm corrective design solutions.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to diagnose problems and provide engineering support.
Drive root cause analysis for automation failures and develop preventive solutions.
Update or redesign mechanical electrical or software components of existing systems when needed.
Develop and maintain documentation such as schematics design files and operating procedures.
Ensure all automation systems comply with safety and industry standards.
Propose and implement minor upgrades or retrofits for improved efficiency or quality.
How will you get here
Education:
BS degree in . in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering is required
Experience:
Minimum 25 years of working experiences in automation equipment design and installation is required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of automation systems including PLCs sensors actuators and industrial robots.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) for mechanical/electrical design updates.
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex automation issues.
Experience with industrial control systems and programming (AllenBradley etc. is a plus.
Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Effective communication skills for crossfunctional collaboration.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Detailoriented with a proactive and problemsolving mindset
Able to work 1st Shift hours of: 7am MDT 3:30 pm MDT
