Overview:
Fulltime Fixed Term position for one year
Salary Academic Level A 17 Superannuation
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work with research teams and partnerships in the School and Research Institutes. You will be required to undertake research activities in line with the Universitys research strategy. In this position you will carry out independent and/or team research which has a significant impact in the area of your specialisation and be acknowledged at a national level as being influential in expanding the knowledge of your relevant discipline.
As the Postdoctoral Research Fellow you are expected to plan develop and engage in high quality research projects that are aligned with the Universitys research focus areas. You will embed your research expertise into the life of the School through the development of highquality productivitydriven research networks across RMIT and with local and national internal and external partners. You will be expected to engage in high quality research projects to achieve success in attracting research funding and to produce high quality outputs.
To be successful in this position you will have:
PhD or equivalentin relevant field.
Demonstrated capability involving nanomaterials formulation (preferably lipid nanoparticles) and characterisation techniques (Microfluidic DLS preferably SAXS)
Evidence of experience in organic synthesis of lipids polymers and/or in bioconjugation is strongly preferable
Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs
Experience in paper writing. Ability to independently form high quality paper drafts is essential.
High level communication skills.
Possess the ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues.
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as .
