Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chiropractic Physician to join NATIVE HEALTH. As a key member of our healthcare team you will provide highquality chiropractic care to patients focusing on improving their overall health and wellbeing through noninvasive treatments and holistic approaches.

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care focusing on patient education prevention and treatment within a communityoriented setting. The Chiropractic Physician provides care consistent with chiropractic best practices and the policies and procedures of NATIVE HEALTH.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Conduct chiropractic adjustments and manipulations to address musculoskeletal issues
  • Educate patients on proper posture ergonomics and lifestyle modifications for optimal spinal health
  • Interpret Xrays and other diagnostic imaging to inform treatment decisions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Stay updated on the latest chiropractic techniques and research to provide evidencebased care
  • Promote overall wellness and preventive care strategies to patients
  • Participate as an active member of an integrated patient centered team

Qualifications :

  • Must have a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C. degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
  • Must have passed the National Board of Chiropractic Examiner (NBCE) and Physiotherapy (PHT) examinations for board certification.
  • Must have a permanent and unrestricted license to practice chiropractic in Arizona.   
  • Ability to obtain Physical Medicine Modalities and Therapeutic Procedures Certificate.
  • Ability to become credentialed with contracted health plans.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (as determined by OIG).
  • Two 2 years of directly related clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
  • Multilingual (English/Spanish/Navajo) language skills are preferred.
  • McKenzie Certification preferred.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Current ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona drivers license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from outofstate) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two atfault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona drivers license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTHs liability auto policy.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety 90 calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
  • Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
  • Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
  • Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to perform each essential function duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Ability to read write and speak clearly understandable English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules to accommodate clinic patients and local communities. Familiarity with the pace of primary care and working with an interdisciplinary team and strong communication skills.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the NextGen EMR system. Knowledge of Microsoft programs with the ability to effectively communicate using Outlook.
  • Good interpersonal and human relations skills are required. Must possess skills to empathize and care for a variety of patients including lowincome and diverse cultures and treat everyone (internal and external customers) with respect and dignity.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality in all situations and follow the laws and intent of the most current HIPAA laws and regulations and security and privacy policies.
  • Above average ability to quickly analyze comprehend and create written/verbal medical and business communication and documentation.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to practice chiropractic skillfully and safely.
  • Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and under or uninsured population.
