Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Systems Engineer to join our team located in Saint Charles MO.
This position will be responsible for New Development for our Precision Engagement Quality team. Duties will include:
First Article Inspection (FAI) review and planning
Proposal development BOE creation and review of quality requirements
Work Movement quality support and flow down
Planning reviews and planning approvals
Advanced Product Quality Planning preferred
Successful candidates will have Early Quality involvement experience including Quality Requirement reviews supplier clause flow down and work movement experience.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements.
Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Develops and selects methods for analysis testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Assists in development of new standards repairs for nonconformances.
Analyzes nonconformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Develops and implements corrective actions.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
More than 3 years of experience do you have in Quality / AS9100 / Aerospace Quality Processes (e.g. AS9102 FAI AS9146 APQP AS9146 FOD ACSI/FCT/FC/DC processes)
More than 5 years of experience in Quality
More than 3 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
More than 3 years of experience do you have with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings blueprints schematics and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Enterprise Standard Gated Process (EGSP)
First Article Inspection (FAI) experience (i.e. AS9102
1 year of experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
