Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee the preconstruction construction commissioning and closeout phases of a hyperscale state of the art data center project for a global technology client onsite in Fredericia Denmark.
This role is key in ensuring the successful delivery of a stateoftheart facility with a focus on electrical systems and engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical preconstruction activities including constructability in design procurement and contracts project planning budget planning is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead and manage the electrical construction activities ensuring the project is delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee electrical system installations including substation transformers switchrooms MV & LV life safety and all electrical associated systems.
- Ensure that the electrical designs are aligned with the overall design intent and client expectations managing any issues that arise during construction.
PreConstruction Phase Oversight:
- Oversee and assist the design team in constructability and localization in the design focusing mainly on the electrical systems but assist and collaboration with other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with building codes regulations and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Provide technical guidance on electrical system installations ensuring that contract documents and specifications are relevant to the region.
- Play a pivotal role in the procurement of contractors and vendor.
Construction Phase Oversight:
- Manage and supervise electrical subcontractors vendors and suppliers ensuring that work is completed to specification and safety standards.
- Fulltime onsite presence to conduct inspections and supervise construction activities.
- Ensure construction activities are in full compliance with building codes regulations and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting on electrical system installations ensuring that all work is completed as per the contract documents and specifications.
- Manage health and safety on site.
Commissioning & Handover:
- Oversee the commissioning process of electrical systems to ensure all systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria.
- Lead the electrical system testing and commissioning process ensuring all relevant documentation (test reports asbuilts O&M manuals) are accurate and handed over to the client.
- Assist in the final project closeout and ensure the electrical systems are handed over seamlessly to the client.
Owners Representation:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team for electricalrelated issues.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the client ensuring their interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to electrical systems and recommend mitigation strategies.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to quality standards and local regulations.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and work schedules.
- Conduct site safety audits and ensure that work is being performed in compliance with all health and safety standards.
Budget & Schedule Management:
- Monitor and report on the progress of electrical work against the project schedule and budget.
- Track project costs identifying and addressing cost overruns or delays.
- Ensure that changes in scope are managed efficiently with appropriate documentation and approval processes in place.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g. PMP LEED) are a plus.
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction project management on construction sites which includes experience working on data center construction projects.
- Proven experience managing large complex electrical systems installations and commissioning processes.
- Expertise in electrical systems commonly used in data centers such as HV/MV/LV substations switchgear controls life safety and energy management systems.
- Experience with Owners Representation and working directly with clients contractors and other stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical design construction methods and systems integration.
- Excellent project management skills including planning scheduling and budgeting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g. BIM360 Autodesk applications Primivera P6 etc).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and manage expectations effectively.
