Several NonMerit Administrative Aide vacancies at various locations exist in the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.
NonMerit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

Job Purpose
Under general supervision performs comprehensive word processing typing and other clerical duties in support of an office.
Essential Job Duties
Education
Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalent.
Additional experience as described in the essential duties may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for the required education.
Preferred Experience
At least one 1 year general clerical experience in a position that requires significant time spent creating and/or transcribing documents using word processing software and extensive telephone and inperson customer service interaction.
Additional education related to secretarial/word processing may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for the required experience.
Positions may require working fixed shifts (Monday Friday) or rotating shifts which may include at least two weeknights and may include weekends or holidays when necessary.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
The job duties of this position are essentially sedentary with occasional walking and/or lifting or other restricted physical activities.
The work of these positions may require occasionally moving equipment and/or deliveries and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Positions are located in recreation community offices in parks or campuses and may be an isolated secluded and/or solitary work environment.
