Listed Derivative Operations is the first line of defense and the goto team for our Trading Products and Capital Markets business partners. Our broad mandate includes: Trade Capture and Allocation Trade and Position reconciliation Trade Desk Support; Data Governance Reporting & Analytics; and everything inbetween.

  • Communicates with internal business partners and external customers to respond to standard and nonstandard inquiries.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
  • May assist in the coordination of work flow and activities of the team including assigning work periodically reviewing output providing input to employee performance reviews quality control training team coaching and guidance operations research and problem resolution.
  • Fulfills routine and frequently nonroutine transactions internal business partner and/or external customer inquiries/requests and/or audit/reconciliation activities.
  • Analyzes and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively in accordance with Bank and industry standards. Acts as primary backup to team members and as backup to the manager.
  • Executes work to deliver timely accurate and efficient service.
  • May function as a problemsolving resource for more junior staff.
  • Follows documented policies and procedures to execute day to day transactions activities processes and ensure all Service Level Agreements(SLAs) are met. Checks and reconciles information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues and problems and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner. Deals with clients directly to resolve issues and/or escalates as required.
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on business objectives.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders to execute work and fulfill service delivery expectations.

  • Understands the regulatory requirements and risks inherent in the operations and ensures appropriate actions are taken and operational integrity is maintained.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks which may include unique situations.

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 5 7 years of relevant futures industry experience and postsecondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology such as GMI and CCP related applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business units key products and services processes and controls Indepth.
  • Knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business.
  • Prioritization skills Good.
  • Customer service skills Indepth.
  • PC skills (MS Word Excel PowerPoint) Indepth.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Salary:

$68000.00 $126000.00

Pay Type:

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
