About Trinity Valley School:
Founded in 1959 and named for the Trinity River that flows nearby Trinity Valley School is an independent nonsectarian collegepreparatory school. Position Description:
Trinity Valley School is seeking qualified and enthusiastic substitute teachers for all grade levels (Early Childhood through Upper School). Substitute teachers will maintain a productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher ensuring continuity of instruction and care of students.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Report to assigned division and check in with office staff.
- Take attendance. Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher.
- Accomplish curriculum objectives and goals outlined in lesson plans.
- Manage classroom effectively to encourage student participation.
- Minimize distractions and maintain a cohesive and consistent learning experience for all students.
- Provide effective and appropriate supervision of students.
- Ensure adherence to all TVS procedures and policies.
- Exemplify a professional attitude with students colleagues and parents.
- Uphold a strong commitment to confidentiality.
Knowledge Experience and Skill Requirements: A strong candidate for the Substitute Teacher position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher preferably in education.
- Flexibility and criticalthinking skills.
- General knowledge of several subjects.
- Fully support the four main objectives of the TVS Mission Statement
- Ability to adapt plans to specific classroom.
- Previous classroom experience.
