Job Description
Direct Medics are working in partnership with an NHS Trust in the Midlands to recruit an experienced and dedicated NonMedical Prescriber (NMP) to join the Substance Misuse service across Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a passion for supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. Full time hours 9am5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical interventions to service users accessing substance misuse support.
- Prescribe for both alcohol and opiate substitution treatments.
- Conduct clinical reviews and manage an independent caseload postinduction.
- Work in line with best practice regarding Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) needle and syringe programmes (NSP) detox and rehab pathways.
- Accurately input and manage clinical records (Illy system experience desirable; training provided)
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist OR Nurse (GPhC or NMC Registration)
- NonMedical Prescribing Qualification
- Experience working as an Independent NMP within a drug and alcohol service
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Right to Live and Work in the UK
