Our Asset Management and Maintenance Track team is seeking an Engineering Lead Track to join the team! This role will provide level technical advice and expertise to the Asset Management & Maintenance team members as well as other internal stakeholders. Furthermore this role will provide subject matter expertise for the development of technical standards and procedures in Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) requirements and acceptance criteria for the asset class discipline.

What will I be doing
  • Provide technical support to the Senior Manager Asset Management Track AM&M Team Members and other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expert support for the development of technical standards and procedures in Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) requirements and acceptance criteria for the asset class discipline.
  • Ensure documentation of the work completed by the Track & ROW Asset Management team external vendors/stakeholders and regulators related to the safe integration of new and enhanced assets are placed into the asset base and reflected in the implementation of new systems.
  • Support the planning and implementation of approved processes and plans to manage control and document the compliance assurance processes and adherence to the agency risk management policy and processes.
  • Participate guide lead and support technical teams in the identification and rectification of potential points of failure in systems or asset(s) operations and maintenance practices processes and principles.
  • Lead and provide technical guidance in the process for structured and systematic control of changes to the approved and funded baseline Asset Management Plan(s) for OPEX and/or CAPEX including assisting in the development of business plans for the asset class base maintenance renewal or replacement of agency retained assets.
  • Support and provide insights into the development and procurement of the approved CAPEX and OPEX plans of work as defined in the CAPEX and OPEX investment plans for the Track and ROW business unit.
  • Research assigned topics or areas of concern for continuous improvement in Asset Management policies and/or procedures to support continuous maturation of asset condition models investment strategies rehabilitation programs and risk analysis.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
  • Completion of a degree or diploma in engineering or architecture relevant to the positions area of practice
  • Demonstrated experience in Asset Management Data & Information Management and/or Engineering Assurance
  • Ability to support transformational change reflecting on lessons learned to analyze evaluate and define problems/challenges identify alternatives and make timely decisions to manage risk
  • Judgement to adapt and apply procedures and approaches to address problem situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Organizational and research skills to investigate and conduct research into current trends best practices tools and technologies.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to gather and convey information prepare documents and present to Management and AM&M team
  • Presentation skills to present ideas with clarity for different audiences liaise with members of the AM&M team / project teams within the organization and work effectively with specialists across multiple sectors.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to assess the circumstances in detail and identify the important elements to choose appropriate course of action.
