Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join their team at 2 of their properties in Inver Grove Heights and Rosemount. The ideal candidate will have at least 23 years of experience in affordable housing within projectbased section 8 communities. This role is contract to hire 520 hours before conversion).
This role will be working with 2 buildings in Inver Grove Heights and Rosemount MN affordable/project based section 8.
Salary: $28.50 $32.50/hour DOQ.
Schedule: Monday Friday: 8AM 430PM. This role is contract to hire 520 hours before conversion).
We are looking for an individual to manage a property who is skilled in working with diverse populations and has experience in affordable lowincome housing. This is a midlevel position for those that have 23 years of property management experience. You may be responsible for 12 properties depending on the size of the properties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Marketing reviewing applications and income qualify applicants
- Conducting thorough inspections prior to move in assigning work orders to caretakers maintenance or vendors
- Moving in new residents and understanding and explaining all lease documents
- Building tenant relations
- Completing additional special projects.
- Training new assistant site managers
- Collecting rent entering into Yardi and filing unlawful detainers per procedures
- Complying with Section 8 tax credit and/or other deferred loans that are on the property
- Understanding financials and budgets
- Ability to manage staff
- Inputting maintenance work orders
- Maintaining tenant files
- Filing
- Answering phones
Desired candidate will possess:

- Be adaptable & comfortable in a highenergy environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Skills in conflict resolution.
- Possess Yardi Voyager experience
- Experience in longterm homelessness the mentally ill and/or potentially aggressive clients is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 23 years experience in property management within section 8 project based.
- Knowledge of government subsidy programs/Fair Housing Rules and Regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Excel.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation as this position will be roving between 2 properties.
- Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
