Location/Division Specific Information
Position based in New Haven CT and will support the Customer Channels Group (CCG) RSD North America Managed Services business unit. Unity Lab Services provides a single source for integrated lab service support and supply management. Our customized service offerings and worldclass service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customers laboratorys business needs.

The Sr Scientific Support Specialist 2nd Shift) will make an impact by conducting site operations in accordance with terms and conditions of program contract and Statement of Work. Developing and maintaining positive and professional working relationships with clients service vendors and Thermo Fisher staff. Supporting the development of business reviews and participate in meetings as the need arises.
Assist in data collection and analysis of customer metrics to include but not limited to financials compliance growth and profitability.
Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: onsite program replenishments and disbursements receiving putaway stock rotation cycle counts order entry and expediting customer service call resolution product returns and backorder processing.
Perform laboratory services such as order delivery glassware processing and chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation
Analyze maintain and reconcile various reports to ensure contractual requirements are met.
Work within computer systems to access and follow standard operating procedures.
Proactively communicate any customer concerns and/or potential problems to the supervisor.
Address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes reliably.
Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is preferred.
Experience working in customer service is also a plus.
Able to read write and speak English fluently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.
Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
Independently operates handheld scanners to enter data in various systems as needed; as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports.
Demonstrates computer proficiency and possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
Uses organizational skills to multitask and meet due dates as needed.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Works primarily at customer sites which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemicalbased allergens are in use (such as penicillin tetracycline etc).
Depending on the area of the building personal protective equipment may be required including lab coats coveralls hoods facemasks hairnets safety gloves steeltoe shoes bump hats and/or safety glasses.
Must consistently lift push and pull 3040 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds may be necessary using equipment like pushcarts pallet jacks.
Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is .This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
