Business and Economics Teacher Merton Bridging Theory and Practice
An Outstanding secondary school in the borough of Merton is seeking a versatile and skilled Business and Economics Teacher to join their successful department. This is a fulltime permanent position teaching both subjects at Key Stages 4 and 5. The school prides itself on providing a curriculum that connects academic theory with realworld application.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business and Economics Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering highquality lessons in both subjects. You will prepare students for relevant qualifications (e.g. GCSE ALevel BTEC) developing their understanding of core concepts in business management marketing finance and macro/microeconomics. A key focus will be fostering critical thinking and enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical business and economic scenarios. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback will also be vital. Being a great Business and Economics Teacher is key.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a qualified Business and Economics Teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree and proven experience teaching both Business and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5. Strong subject knowledge across both disciplines coupled with the ability to integrate them effectively is essential. Excellent communication and classroom management skills are required. A passion to work as a Business and Economics Teacher is crucial.
