You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailHealth Care for the Homeless Network (HCHN) contracts with 17 communitybased agencies to provide medical mental health substance use disorder and case management services to vulnerable homeless individuals and families in Seattle and King County. Services are provided in shelters day centers on the street and in other locations where homeless people congregate. HCHN also operates the Street Medicine Team with 4 fieldbased teams providing health care to people experiencing homelessness.
Health Care for the Homeless is a longstanding and wellrespected program of public health working to provide critically needed health services to our most vulnerable neighbors those experiencing homelessness across King County. Our team is a dynamic and passionate group collaborating internally and with external partners to ensure effective health services are in place to serve the needs of our community. Our work is guided by a communitybased Governance Council comprised of providers of health services and people with lived or living experience of homelessness.
This position is responsible for a variety of contract development and monitoring duties with multiple community agencies working in close collaboration with the contracts team and other HCHN staff and CHS Division staff. The primary purpose of this position is to carry out contracting duties for the HCHN programs partnerships that deliver health related services in homeless sites especially as the program expands to meet increased community need. Other duties include reporting invoice review and approval ensuring equitable contracting practices and providing technical assistance and program support to homeless contracted health care service providers.

This is a fulltime position 40 hours per week and the typical work week is Monday Friday 8 5. Work schedule will be determined at time of hire may vary based on operational need and may include occasional early morning evening and weekend hours. This position is exempt.
Work Location
Position is based at downtown Seattles Chinook Building 401 5th Avenue Suite 1000 Seattle WA 98104 and other Public Health locations as needed. Remote work for a portion of the schedule is possible. Some travel to locations throughout King County may also be required.
(Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
