Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Summer Interns to join our team across various departments. This internship is open to recent graduates and current students enrolled in 2 or 4year college programs. Its designed to provide handson experience mentorship and exposure to realworld projects that support the operations and growth of TripleS Steel. As an intern you will collaborate with experienced professionals contribute to team objectives and gain valuable insight into our industry.

Responsibilities

Planning & Strategy

  • Define the scope timeline and budget of the move.
  • Develop a comprehensive move plan (including phases and milestones).
  • Conduct risk assessments and create contingency plans.
  • Determine resource requirements (internal and external).
  • Coordinate with leadership to understand business continuity needs

Team & Vendor Coordination

  • Form and manage a relocation team (representatives from departments).
  • Hire and manage vendors: moving companies IT specialists contractors etc.
  • Oversee contracts service level agreements (SLAs) and insurance.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and provide updates.

Facilities & Infrastructure

  • Coordinate with real estate agents landlords or property managers.
  • Plan for fitout/renovations of the new site (e.g. furniture layout branding).
  • Manage telecoms internet electrical HVAC and other utilities.
  • Ensure building compliance permits and safety standards are met.

IT Systems & Data

  • Plan and execute the IT infrastructure move (servers computers phone systems).
  • Coordinate data backups network setups and testing premove.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity for critical systems.
  • Work with cybersecurity to ensure secure transitions of data and hardware.

Logistics & Inventory

  • Oversee inventory tracking and labeling for all assets being moved.
  • Create floorplans and move schedules for each department.
  • Develop a packing and transport strategy (including fragile/sensitive items).
  • Supervise the physical move and ensure nothing is lost or damaged.

Communication & Change Management

  • Develop and execute a communication plan for internal and external parties.
  • Keep employees informed about timelines expectations and support.
  • Plan for employee orientation at the new site.
  • Manage feedback morale and adaptation to the new space.

PostMove Support

  • Conduct walkthroughs and final inspections of both old and new sites.
  • Resolve any issues or deficiencies postmove.
  • Collect feedback and conduct a postmove review.
  • Update documentation vendor info and address changes everywhere.

Qualifications

Skills:

Planning & Scheduling Ability to create and manage detailed project plans and timelines.
Budgeting Managing costs forecasting expenses and sticking to financial constraints.
Risk Management Identifying potential issues and creating mitigation strategies.
Resource Allocation Efficient use of time people and tools to stay on target.
Logistics Management Understanding how to coordinate largescale movements of equipment furniture and people.
Vendor & Contract Management Selecting negotiating with and managing thirdparty service providers.
Facilities & Infrastructure Knowledge Awareness of building systems layout planning and space utilization.

IT Systems Coordination Understanding the basics of IT infrastructure data security and network setup (you dont have to be an engineer but you need to talk to them!.
Business Continuity Planning Knowing how to minimize disruption to systems and operations during the move.

Stakeholder Management Working with executives department heads employees and vendors smoothly.
Clear Communication Keeping everyone informed with updates documentation and expectations.
Leadership Inspiring confidence leading crossfunctional teams and driving progress.
Change Management Helping employees adapt to a new environment managing resistance and supporting smooth transitions.

Quick DecisionMaking Things go wrong during moves being able to pivot fast is crucial.
Attention to Detail Ensuring nothing is missed from compliance paperwork to outlet placement.
Calm Under Pressure Staying composed when timelines slip or complications arise.
