GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous experience working with disadvantaged students
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree and state of Mississippi certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain knowledge of diversityrelated issues legislation and best practices.
Conduct orientation workshops for students parents community and other related entities.
Screen applicants for participant eligibility.
Refer ineligible students to appropriate or alternative services
Maintain participant files
Meet with UB Director and target school principal regularly
Conduct participant followup surveys
Participate in inservice meetings
Work with target school counselors in coordinating project activities
Perform other duties as required to achieve program goals and objectives

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities in the outdoors and off site.
