W.R. MYERS HIGH SCHOOL / D. A. FERGUSON Horizon Christian Program
Horizon Christian Program (HCP) is an alternative faithbased publicschool program which is part of DA Ferguson Middle School and WR Myers High School. The program contains over 100 students from grades 612 and continues to grow every year. Our staff and students are committed to creating a faithbased culturally sensitive educationcentered environment which accommodates all student learning needs. We focus teaching students through a Christian lens developing empowered leaders with the skills and faith to succeed and thrive after graduation.
Probationary Teacher 1.0 FTE Horizon Christian Program 0.43 FTE D.A.F & 0.57 FTE W.R.M)
Assignment includes Math Grade 712 and some CTF options.
We are seeking an individual passionate about working with English as an additional language (EAL) students. Someone that iskind patient and able to build meaningful connections with students both in the classroom and through extracurricular opportunities. Sensitivity to and an understanding of the conservative Mennonite student population is required. Applicants should be comfortable delivering curriculum in a manner that takes into consideration the cultural and religious contexts of the students in our setting.
