IT Infrastructure Technician
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entrylevel IT Infrastructure Technician to join Infrastructure & Communication Technology (ICT) Facilities and Operations a unit within UFIT.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees who are dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Floridas innovative and inspirational community.
As part of ICT this position supports and maintains moderately complex network systems. As part of the Data Center and Logistics team they will troubleshoot assist with the moves add and changes in the data center environment. Experience in troubleshooting network connection issues is key for the ability to support our networking infrastructure across campus. This position will plan and arrange projects support and maintain moderately complex network systems and training responsibilities within the team. Additionally this position will coordinate and facilitate receiving efforts with our IT Warehouse team performing barcode scans of deliveries at the IT Warehouse or equipment prepared for issue by IT Warehouse Staff.

Benefits
Fulltime TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition employees are eligible for 10n paid holidays each year.
Vacationaccruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year assuming fulltime status and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close during the December holiday closing when possible determined on a unitbyunit basis.

An associates degree and two years of appropriate experience or a high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience.
CCNA Certification or equivalent must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirements.
