Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA is seeking a Auxiliary Power Systems Engineer (Senior or Principal) to join the team in Long Beach California.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads definition of requirements for auxiliary power systems.

• Leads definition coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the auxiliary power system and the vehicle.

• Leads development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

• Leads configuration and design of propulsion subsystems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.

• Leads the use of various testing analysis modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate auxiliary power system performance.

• Leads the definition and performance of certification tests for auxiliary power subsystems and components.

• Leads support of fielded systems by developing responses to customer queries and providing technical recommendations.

• Leads development of concepts for future auxiliary power systems to meet anticipated requirements. Works under minimal direction.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100 selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Long Beach CA).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.

• 5 years of experience with system safety analysis and documentation

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):

• Experience with Airplane Extended Operations (ETOPS).

• Knowledge of aircraft design systems engineering modelbased engineering system integration requirements management propulsion engineering and turbomachinery.

• Understanding and application of Project Management.

• Experience with Systems Troubleshooting.
