The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Tipper/Inserter Operator to join our team! This position is responsible for operating maintaining and troubleshooting highspeed Bell & Howell Inserter and Tipper machines to produce and prepare outgoing DMV mailings. This role requires attention to detail adherence to mailing standards and efficient time management to ensure all materials are processed accurately and on schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
Operating Bell & Howell 8 Series Tipper and 10 Series Inserter machines to process vehicle registration cards decals and other mailings
Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of inserter and tipper machines to ensure optimal performance
Review processed mail to confirm adherence to Personally Sensitive Information (PSI) guidelines for accuracy and quality
Assisting other DMV units including Printing Services Warehouse Services Mail Services and the Decal Center as needed
Day shift: MondayFriday 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience operating highspeed inserter and tipper machines (Bell & Howell/Pitney Bowes experience preferred but not required)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions while maintaining production schedules
Demonstrated ability to maintain production logs and verify accuracy for reporting purposes
Strong attention to detail
Skilled in time management and task prioritization to ensure deadlines are met
Must be able to operate machinery and adhere to safety standards while unsupervised
Additional Considerations
Familiarity with USPS mailing standards
Ability to calculate postage and prepare mailing documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
Previous experience in a highspeed printing services mail operations and/or warehouse environment
