Job Description
Blanchard Valley Health System in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a fulltime Vascular Surgeon to help shape a highquality communityfocused vascular program in Northwest OhioEstablish and lead a communitybased vascular surgery program at Blanchard Valley Health System in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical advanced vascular surgical care including Abdominal and thoracic aneurysmal disease Carotid artery disease Hemodialysis access Peripheral vascular disease and limb both open and endovascular vascular conditions with medical therapy lifestyle modification and nonsurgical a weekly schedule of 2 clinic days3 procedural/surgical daysTake 10 night/weekend call shifts per month (does not include daytime coverage).Share call responsibilities with A PRN vascular surgeon A vascular surgery APP and An OSU vascular surgeon (phone support only)Supervise advanced practice provider(s) involved in vascular care collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment with cardiology interventional radiology and other in the development and future expansion of the program including Recruitment of an additional vascular surgeon and APP by end of 2027 and Transition to a hybrid operating room (construction planned to complete by 2027)Deliver patientcentered care in a highquality communityfocused and counsel patients and families on treatment options wellness and disease responsive and open communication with referring in institutional service activities at the department college and medical center as a preceptor and provide training to Medical students Residents Fellows Nursing staff and Allied health professionalsOpportunity for program leadership based on experience and a clinical faculty appointment (Assistant or Associate Professor) with The Ohio State University; role is 100 clinical and based in Findlay Ohio (nonacademic site).Compensation and Benefits:Group goals focused on quality operations and productivity and determined by Division DirectorPotential to earn annual bonus up to $75K based on scorecard metrics to be established by the Division director at OSUWMC Onetime signing bonus of $50000Relocation stipend up to $hours of vacation time per year with a 240hour carryover limit120 hours of sick time accrued annually11 paid holidays per year 8hour days)$7500 annual CME allowance401k and 403b taxdeferred retirement plan optionsEligibility for full OSU retirement benefitsClinical faculty appointment through The Ohio State UniversityFulltime position dedicated to Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay OhioTotal annual compensation potential of $500000 to $600000 or moreCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSBoard CertifiedBoard EligibleSTATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTSOhioADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTSWhy is candidate interested in BVHS; Date of agencys last communication with provider; Does the provider require visa support
