Job Description

Key Business Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor key suppliers within specific material fields fostering strong and collaborative relationships.
  • Lead contract negotiations with nominated suppliers including those involved in global projects.
  • Ensure the successful deployment and fulfillment of policy targets for assigned (sub) material fields.
  • Collaborate proactively with plant colleagues IBT Lead Buyers and Corporate Lead Buyers to define and implement strategic plans.
  • Prepare and execute submaterial field strategies for the designated material fields.

Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Review purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders promptly.
  • Plan and conduct RFPs to ensure timely contract renewals and increase contract coverage.
  • Provide support for issues related to contracting and contract compliance.
  • Develop and implement actions to meet or exceed key KPI deliverables as outlined in policy deployment targets.
  • Prepare monthly status reports including RFP progress savings and other key KPIs such as automation supply base reduction and payment terms.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree (perferably in Manufacturing Supply Chain Business or related discipline)
  • Minimum 34 years experience in Purchasing Supply Chain Marketing or similar related services. 
  • Selfmotivated to define and drive continuous improvement of processes
  • Excellent communication skills initiative and personal accountability
  • Organized and excellent communication and project management skills. PC literate (MSOffice SAP).
  • Awareness and application of basic principles strategies & instruments of purchasing.
  • Negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate and conduct business discussion fluently in English.
  • Ability to support teams working out of North American Time Zones
