Job Title: Lead Supervisor Gas Engineering

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience ranging from $114332.80 to $142916.00

Job Summary

Supervises and directs employees working group within gas engineering. Prepares and communicates reports and maintains records for various activities in the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises gas engineering group and provides technical guidance to the team.45 of time Primary)
  • Responsible for budget preparation and cost control for work group. 10 of time Primary)
  • Responsible to schedule work to meet or exceed departmental and corporate goals and objectives.20 of time Primary)
  • Responsible to develop policies and procedures to safely complete work by the group.10 of time Secondary)
  • Represents the company on various teams or committees with Energy East state regional or national issues.10 of timeSecondary)
  • Acts as liaison for the Company with customers and with state and municipal agencies to coordinate efforts.5 of time Secondary)

Required Qualifications

  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Able to solve complex problems.
    • Project management skills.

  • Experience/Training:
    • At least 7 years of technical experience in gas.
    • Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of gas system construction and maintenance practices corrosion control techniques underground pipe locating map reading blue print reading.
    • Knowledge of state and federal pipeline safety regulations.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid drivers license.
  • Required Education:
    • Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred.
