Position Information:

Were growing our team and looking for a compassionate licensed acupuncturist. Acupuncturists at NWHSUs Bloomington Clinic provide evidence informed patient care through the practice of Chinese Medicine including acupuncture cupping and other related therapies. This role involves assessing patient conditions developing individualized treatment plans and delivering care to promote healing pain relief and overall wellness. The Acupuncturist collaborates with integrative healthcare providers to support patient outcomes ensures compliance with regulatory standards and maintains accurate and timely documentation. Strong communication clinical judgment and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential for success in this role.

Work Location: Bloomington MN

Duties:

• Manage patient care with the approved policies and procedures of the NWHSU clinic system.
• Prescribe herbal formulas to patients when appropriate.
• Consult with other clinic providers or refer patients to internal or external providers as needed.
• Complete all necessary patient documentation in a timely manner following clinic policies.
• Identify growth opportunities introduce new treatment modalities and enhance service offerings based on patient needs.
• Participate in public speaking community event activities and/or publish articles in newspaper/media sources for purposes of increasing patient utilization of University clinics.
• Attend meetings and required clinic in services i.e.: coding and documentation; HIPAA training; CPR; bloodborne pathogen etc.
• Maintain licensure.

What you need to have

• Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
• 13 years experience working in an integrative healthcare setting and collaborating with other disciplines.
• Licensed Acupuncturist required.
• Certification in CPR/BLS preferred.
• Ability to effectively respond to inquiries and develop original innovative educational programs on Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture for patients community members staff and students.
• Ability to read analyze and interpret documents specific to Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture and other integrative therapies.

Compensation:

This position offers a gradually declining stipend over the first 9 months in addition to a revenuesharing model. After the initial period compensation will transition fully to a revenuesharing model.
