Why the Cardiac Care UnitThis 36bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service for 4 south include but are not limited to the following: Myocardial InfarctionCoronary Artery BypassPre/Post Heart Transplant PatientsTranscatheter Aortic Valve ReplacementPercutaneous Transluminal coronary angioplastyChest PainCongestive Heart FailureVascular surgeryVentricular Assist Device (VAD)Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring Certifications: Ventricular Assistive Device Program Chest Pain Center Comprehensive Stroke Program Transplant Program ACLS/NIH within 6 monthsRequirements of the Ideal Candidate: Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required; BSN preferred Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas Minimum 18 Months of RN experience Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Required. QualificationsYou should have completed a program from a recognized institution or have at least 2 years of related professional major should be in professional experience in the field is appreciated even if its less than a life support (BLS). If you havent done this yet you must complete within 30 days.
