QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in education human resources or related field required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a K12 education system preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable

SUPERVISES:
JOB GOAL(S):
Performs the full range of professional duties required to support the Human Resources Department including the performance of complex and/or sensitive activities and investigations; and performs related duties as required or assigned.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Human Resources Department in direct collaboration with the Chief Human Resource Officer and the Human Resources Manager
- Plays a key role in achieving the goals contained within the Iowa City Community School District Strategic Plan and is accountable for outcomes.
- Assists the HR Manager and Chief Human Resource Officer with the planning of department policy and short and longterm objectives.
- Contributes expertise to the department and can serve as a departmental resource for administration and all staff.
- May Supervise and Evaluate staff within the department
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Districts Title IX Coordinator
- Completes Level 1 Child Abuse Investigations
- Reviews and investigates complaints of discrimination workplace harassment and grievances
- Creates detailed reports to summarize investigations
- Effectively communicates (verbally and written) the results of investigations to applicable stakeholders
- Investigates staff and student concerns as directed by the CHRO
- Assists with employee discipline
- Compiles data and complete reports including but not limited to: Affirmative Actions Equal Employment Opportunity Plans and Civil Rights Data Collection
- Collaborate with local colleges and universities to assist with student teacher and practicum student placements
- Develop and facilitate employee retention efforts
- Oversees the teacher salary lane advancement process
- Other Human Resources duties as assigned
Terms of Employment:
Year Round Position Salary and calendar year to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy of the Iowa City Community School District.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Districts policy on Evaluation State Statute and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
